My Lit device short story

It was the shortest of days and longest of nights. It was turning fall and the trees were swaying in the wind like dancers. Leaves, were changing color from bright yellow to dark red.  Jake was walking with his friend Calvin. Calvin, moved in a while ago from Philadelphia. Calvin was a fan of the Eagles which Jake hated because he happened to be from New York and loved the Giants. Even though that was a common difference that didn’t keep them from hanging out with each other (Though when they did play against each other they boasted to each other who was gonna win). They decided to go over to the park and play. Calvin said “Man the Eagles aren’t doing well this year”.
“Well the Giants sure havin the time of their life with Odell”  Jake said laughing.
“Ha, funny last time I check they didn’t have anybody cept Odell, Eli, and Brandon and they don’t have a strong running game, so put in nickel and you will be sure as heck out of the game” Calvin said grinning as he thought he made a comeback. Jake said, in return getting mad “Well your team last time I checked has nothin”. Then Calvin punched Jake in the arm said that he deserved it. They had brought a football and tossed it around. Though, it was getting chilly and kind of late. Yet, they seemed to be in a trance not noticing that the sun had gone down 30 minutes ago.  Jake said “ I have to go home now” in a depressing way. As he picked up his bag he headed home. Calvin, walked in the other direction and then stopping and looked around like something was there.
“Is something wrong?” Jake said.
“I don’t know but I get this feeling like something is going to” Calvin said not finishing his sentence.
“Going to do what?” Jake said.
“Sorry I think I am just hallucinating” Calvin said.
“No tell me” Jake said, and adding, “C’mon tell me”. Calvin now whispering “I think someone is watching us”.
“Why do you think that?” Jake said now looking around to spot any disturbance. Calvin said speaking in a fast pace “Look just run home and push me and say you’re starving which you are not because you know the lesson we had today”.
“Ok just make sure you get home safely” Jake said in a cautious soft voice. Jake then pushed Calvin in the ground and said “ I’m sorry I have to go home” then adding “I’m so hungry I could eat a horse”. Calvin now looking like he is confused, but gets up pushing Jake a little and saying “ ‘K man I’ll see you soon”.
“Ok” Jake said.  They then walked home in opposite directions. Neither looking back, but they then walked faster. As Jake reached his house, he texted Calvin, and said he was ok. Calvin looked at the response and said he was almost there. As he reached the door, he was surprised it was unlocked and blood smeared on the walls. Calvin then starting franticly searching the house and then saw that the basement door was locked. So, he opened it and to his surprise his parents were there he saw and his parents say “Thank goodness you’re alive”. Then, Calvin hears the door closing and jumps out seeing that a man was there with a familiar face. Calvin,  then ran away as fast as he could and ran to Jake’s house. He looks back and see’s his parents before his eyes and then it flashes back to the man and then a loud noise, pop as he turns around he saw that the man had shot himself. Then Calvin called and Jake answered

“Uhh Jake, I found something” Calvin said, and adding, “I think this might be bigger than I thought”.  Jake not saying a single word, just silence.  Then, Calvin ended the call and took off the mask and saw it was Jake.

Connor I had been up all night. The sounds of cars and cries had kept me up. I had been keeping quiet all night, not letting anyone in my family know I was up. My mom had been crying. Her Story Hannah Agins My best friend, Lillian, finally told me her story. She never talked about her life really, besides the fact that she was adopted. I told her that she could tell me anything, but whenever she almost talked to me about her past, she would get all aggressive and angry, and shake like a hand-shy dog.  I eventually stopped asking, since asking was not something she was comfortable with. I didn’t ask Lily about it for the next few weeks, until Lilly told me she felt I was trustworthy enough to share her past, that she had never told anyone before. When Lilly was four months old and living in New York, her 17 and 18 year old parents felt they were too young to take care of her as a baby. BOOM! BOOM! That’s constantly is in my head reminding me when I was in Iraq and it is year 2200. BOOM. BOOM That's all I can remember.  Lasers are shooting around with constant beams. People were dieing. With this type of medicine today they can save almost anyone. But in this case medicine wasn't enough. A billion men dead in world war 6. Ehem! Hi im Billy McNUggetstien Magoogy.
